Just returned from our 2 week holiday at the Knossos Royal. My husband and I travelled with our 3 children aged 16, 8 and 4 and my father also came along. It is difficult to find a holiday to please everyone but this wonderful hotel was perfect, we all had a really great time. We booked a family room and twin and upon arrival were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to sea-view rooms as the hotel accomodated my request that our rooms should be close together. All the staff are helpful and friendly and cant do enough for you, which makes you feel very welcome. The younger children loved the kids club which makes for a relaxing time for us, thank you Demitra and her team. My eldest boy and husband got involved in lots of the sporting activities organised by the animation team and my son met a group of children of similar ages and this meant he also had a great time. All inclusive option is brilliant the food was very good quailty with plenty of variety. Thank you for a wonderful holiday and we hope to visit again soon. Sharon and Mark Power

This was our second stay at Aldemar and it was even better than the first time. The Villas are great with a shared private pool and better equiped rooms. In addition the private Villas resturant made breakfast even more leasurely than normal. The Aldemar team we just fantastic everyone seemed out to ensure we had a GREAT holiday. The hotel is hard to fault as it has great food, helpfull staff, great kids club, every where is clean and tidy. The speciality resturants are great although my son would not touch much of the food. We stayed all inclusive which works out really well with a good choice of food and most drinks included. There are few hotels that I would say worth a 3rd visit but this in one of them and quite likely we shall return next year as its such a great hotel.

Usually on holiday, we hire a car and explore the surrounding area, but on this occasion, we were receiving such first class attention and service that we were able to totally relax and enjoy the five star experience without wanting more. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the man with the golf buggy to take us and our bags to the fully air conditioned and exceptionally well stocked and immaculate villa, we knew wed made the right choice. Our two children, aged 4 and 7 said that they wanted to live at the Knossos Royal forever. They enjoyed the entertainment,with the exceptionally talented animation team and our youngest loved the mini club. She came home clutching a "hand luggage" plastic bag full of things shed made out of cardboard! The pools were immaculate. We loved the fact that each set of villas had their own pool. It meant that the communal areas were never crowded, even though it was high season. The food at the buffet had something for everyone and the cocktails included in the all inclusive price were just the ticket. My daughter needed medical attention on one occasion and within 5 minutes of telling reception, a car was waiting to take us straight to the surgery free of charge. Well done Knossos Royal and thanks for everything. Wed recommend you to anyone.

Our son of 7 really enjoyed the kids club and animations which made out holiday really great. Also we did All Inclusive which worked out good value. Food great and location just perfect. We have re-booked for end July 2011 so recommend - good 5* hotel.

We retuned in October 2010 and celebrated my husbands 60th birthday at the Knossos Royal. We were upgraded to the Royal villas with its own pool and spectacular sea views. As an all inclusive package we would recommend this complex for the great food and atmosphere. Staff were helpful and entertaining. Plenty of swimming pools and sun beds available. We would book again next year. Thanks for an amazing holiday.

Every morning we woke to beautiful sea views and were literally 5 yards to our own private swimming pool. The facilities throughout the resort are brilliant. We stayed on all inclusive basis which was superb. There were some guests who didn’t stay all inclusive and I think they must be crazy. The all inclusive offers excellent value for money with even premium brand drinks included. We took the opportunity to dine at the a la carte restaurants Artemis and Fontana Amorosa which were both included in our all inclusive package and again these really were great. This was our first holiday with our son and it was made very special by the first class service at the resort and a fantastic hotel well worthy of its five stars. We are looking to come back in 2011. A big thank you to all at Aldemar Knossos Royal.

Staff were very friendly and great service, animation team were a great group and we enjoyed our daily game of volleyball. We stayed in the villas and was very impressed with the size and location. We have just returned from the Knossos Royal Crete after 10 wonderful days. As there were 5 of us ( 2 Adults and 3 children) we opted for 2 standard rooms with interconnecting doors, which worked out to be fantastic. The rooms were clean and spacious for our needs. The hotel grounds and sandy beach are very well maintained and spotless.
The animation team who look after the guests during the day and entertain in the evening are the best team around. They all speak different languages including English. Our children thought they was great and were happy to go off to do the various activities within the grounds, which made for a more relaxing holiday for us.
The main restaurant, which is buffet style, was all you could ask for with a different selection every night, ranging from the salad bar, roast joint of meat, pasta with various sauces and numerous international dishes like sweet and sour, Paella, Calamari and stir fry to name a few. Most of the dishes were cooked and prepared by the Chef’s in the restaurant in view of the diners. There were 2 a-la-Carte restaurants on site but we did not use these as the children were happy to eat in the main restaurant and run off to the mini disco. They do operate a fairly strict policy of no shorts in the evening in the restaurant but as long as you are aware it is not a problem.
The all inclusive is a great facility within the hotel and the drinks are clearly labelled in the menu as to what you have to pay for. The menu also contained a wide range of cocktails to enjoy which are also included in the all inclusive range.
The highlight for us was the beach party which is held every other Friday and was free for the all inclusive guests, along with the animation team who kept us all entertained every day and night.

The food is delicious, a fantastic variety, all inclusive drinks menu is the best by far of any hotels we have stayed in around the world. i would reccommend this hotel to any traveller is is definitley five star in my opinion.
